About Us

Stella Edibo Foundation (SE-F) is a dynamic non-profit organization based in Abuja, Nigeria, dedicated to fostering positive and lasting change in the health and well-being of individuals across low and middle-income households. Serving as a beacon of hope, SE-F leads efforts to overcome barriers to healthcare access, ensuring that every person, regardless of their economic status, has access to quality healthcare services. Committed to the principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3, Good Health and Well-Being.

Our mission encompasses a wide range of initiatives, including organizing free medical camps, conducting educational and awareness programs, and facilitating access to essential medication and supplies.

By using a multimodal approach, SE-F aims to empower communities to end the cycle of poverty and sickness.

We acknowledge the importance of nutrition and health in attaining overall wellbeing. SE-F is aiming to develop long-lasting solutions that will benefit people individually and as a community by emphasizing preventive care and education.

THE SE-F Diabetes Care Project

The Diabetes Care Program, is committed to providing comprehensive support to individuals managing diabetes. Recognizing the significant out-of-pocket health expenditures many face, we ensure access to individualized lifestyle counseling, professional medication management, and routine checkups. Moreover, we strive to reduce costs by making diabetes supplies and necessary drugs more affordable. Collaborating with local organizations, we promote physical activity and good nutrition, fostering a holistic approach to diabetes well-being. To enhance care for individuals with diabetes, and encourage healthy eating habits, we innovatively developed the Diabetes Care Support Box Initiative and The Sugar Stop Campaign which will:

Provide access to affordable medications, organize support groups, offer mental health counseling, and provide nutritional guidance.
Collaborate with local healthcare providers to develop innovative strategies for preventing and managing diabetes.
Advocate and influence policies for diabetes.
Conduct diabetes awareness campaigns and educational workshops.
Implement a systematic fund collection schedule and provide regular updates to the community.
Organize health screening drives and collaborate with local healthcare providers for diagnostic services.

His work extends beyond the corporate sphere, as he actively engages in humanitarian efforts.

Leveraging expertise in data-driven decision-making, Edime has significantly contributed to enhancing user experiences and optimizing digital strategies. Beyond the corporate realm, Edime is a passionate climate change advocate, leading several sustainability projects aimed at mitigating environmental impact. Edime also has a flare for film making and has made history as the first filmmaker to premiere a movie trilogy in Nigeria, showcasing a unique blend of creativity and cultural storytelling. Dr. Emmanuela O. Egwu

Dr. Emmanuela O. Egwu is a dedicated medical doctor with a passion for combating diabetes and improving public health. With a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from Bowen University Iwo and over two years of hands-on experience in clinical settings, she has demonstrated a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism. Dr. Egwu's expertise includes clinical diagnosis and treatment, patient advocacy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She has worked in various healthcare settings, including the Federal Road Safety Clinic Lokogoma in FCT Abuja and the Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja in Kogi State, Nigeria. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Egwu is actively involved in research and community outreach. She has contributed to health education programs aimed at increasing awareness of diabetes and other chronic diseases. Dr. Egwu's dedication to improving health outcomes for individuals living with diabetes makes her a valuable asset to our NGO.

Nankwat Zion Hosea

Zion is a seasoned monitoring and evaluation expert and political scientist, who has been involved in humanitarianism at different levels for over a decade and counting. Zion has contributed immensely to further humanitarian causes especially in hard to reach areas of Northern Nigeria and has track record of inspiring dogged commitment from the team in getting the job done despite the prevailing harsh conditions. He’s proven experience in the field plus an in-depth knowledge of the humanitarian charter and minimum standards in humanitarian response is a valuable addition to the team.
